Samuel Gordon Heiskell papers, 1762-1930 [manuscript].

Papers of Heiskell, who was a lawyer, judge, mayor of Knoxville, Tenn., and author of "Andrew Jackson and Early Tennessee History" (Nashville, 1918-1920). The bulk of the collection relates to the book and includes about 175 photographs; copies of historical manuscripts; correspondence, 1920-1921, concerning sales; and picture plates. Also included is a scrapbook of material relating to Heiskell's political career and other matters.
